Jessica had read the script before filming her first weapon lesson. Jonathan Glassner stated that they had awed by Jessica's skills during her first training lesson. Jessica was the first American actress to play a big film character, considering that her prior films had been made in Australia. Jessica's mixed martial art, horseback riding, weapons capabilities and athletic skills allow her to perform stunts portraying the tough woman. In Australia she learnt muay Thai as well as boxing. Jake Stormoen, who was working on Season 4 of the show was able to meet a puppy who was wandering around the sets. The pet was part of the litter of stray puppies which were living in the film set. Jessica accepted two of the puppies.
